The convenience store channel was initially impacted with the COVID-19 pandemic in the first half of 2020 as traffic declined due to lockdowns. Once things began to open up, shoppers returned and Circle K wanted to be ready for the opportunity. Circle K has been growing their private brands and knew it could win in this area.
Utilizing Great Northern Instore’s expertise in the impulse and snack categories, the Chicago team was able to design a great display to house a large variety of sweets, salty snacks, meat products, and nuts. Great Northern’s flexible domestic and overseas manufacturing was able to get 2,600 units to the market complete with installation. It has been a winning partnership that has led to great returns and is quickly expanding as we look toward two additional phases of roll-outs.
