POSITION SUMMARY

Initial first point of contact on inquiries and samples requests for Rollguard product.  Gathers information from website inquiries, phone calls or potential customers for Inside Sales to help generate new business.  Assist Inside Sales in developing sales strategies designed to demonstrate features and benefits of the Rollguard products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

  • Answers telephone inquiries with a pleasant telephone
  • Obtains freight quotes from freight carriers when required to give customer the best rate available.
  • Updates/Maintains BCM system.
  • Develop target accounts, both in cooperation with an Account Manager and sometimes independently, to focus on sales growth and profitable margins.
  • Develop and maintain a Focus 15 customer target list in conjunction with General Manager and Account Managers.
  • Processes inquiries with regard to price requests and product information.
  • Initiates customer contacts and follows up on inquiries regarding Rollguard product.
  • Coordinate sample distribution to potential customers nationally and internationally; follow up timely for feedback on sample.
  • Communicate with the General Manager and customer service to meet customer needs.
  • Develop relationships throughout all levels of prospects and existing accounts within territory.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and effectively communicate opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend meetings as requested
  • Attend training seminars I workshops to continue gaining product, process and sales technique
  • Backup other areas as needed
  • Complete annual Catalytic Coaching process
  • Involve Rollguard, Laminations & GNC employees at all levels of our organizations.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  1. Requires at least a high school diploma, two year technical degree preferred.
  2. Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping Planner will facilitate day-to-day shipping operations by working in conjunction with Great Northern sales/service, production crews, forklift drivers and contracted carrier(s) to meet customer delivery requirements in the most cost effective manner.

HOURS AND REQUIREMENTS

The regular work hours for this position are Tuesday through Friday 10 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., some flexibility will be necessary for Saturdays, some holidays and weekday shift coverage overtime.

Candidates need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, display a positive attitude, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate effective leadership, decision making and problem solving skills.  Previous experience in shipping planning or a degree in Logistics/Supply Chain is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

Records payments to customers’ accounts and maintains accounts receivable records. Prepare invoices for customer’s daily and completes credit references.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Participates in continuous improvement and effectively communicates opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
  2. Apply cash receipts to correct invoices.
  3. Contact customers regarding outstanding balance.
  4. Post and update daily cash receipts
  5. Work with salespeople, customer service and customers on questions pertaining to outstanding invoices.
  6. Monitors and maintains outstanding accounts.
  7. Follows through on short payments and over payments.
  8. Prepares intercompany cash receipts, weekly.
  9. Balances accounts for intercompany cash receipts, monthly.
  10. Assists with related special projects and month-end close, as required.
  11. Account reconciliations including monthly bank reconciliation.
  12. Daily billings, which includes:
    1. Credit memos
    2. Scrap, pricing
    3. Freight charges to customers
    4. Pallet exchange or charge
    5. Cutting dies and printing plates – weekly
    6. Batch customers – 15th and 30th of each month.
  13. Must be able to make major decisions in the area of accounts receivable
  14. Maintain frequent contact with the following:
    1. Accounting staff
    2. Sales
    3. Customer service
  15. Maintain frequent contact with customers outside of the company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

The full-time accounting clerk must hold an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

HOURS

Working hours will be Monday-Friday 8 hours between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Some flexibility may be required.

POSITION SUMMARY

Accumulate, count & pack goods produced on the VBoard (paper laminated together in stick form and used as protective packaging for products during shipping) machine. Inspect all goods as they come off the line for proper lamination, pieces sticking together, correct length and general appearance of printing. Prepare all rolls to be brought into the machine with minimum amount of waste. Plugging or de-coring rolls as needed. Cut or slab down rolls in an efficient manner to minimize waste. Help to produce the finest quality product at rates and standards consistent with the Company’s desire to be a Preferred Supplier of cost effective, top quality products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

  • Communicate any quality problems to the Crew Leader in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain an accurate count of all pieces packed on pallets. Communicate any count deviation from the standard VBoard packaging schedule to the VB Operator.
  • Place the correct shipping label onto pallet.
  • Be conscious of the general appearance of pallets being packed.
  • Separate all waste and dispose of properly.
  • Adjust output slides.
  • Follow all Safe Roll Handling procedures; tend up to 16 paper rolls at one time.
  • Make roll splices in an efficient manner as required.
  • Be in constant communication with Crew Leader.
  • Cut & store wooden cores and wedges as needed. Keep extra plugs and accessories in order in the assigned area.
  • Minimize down time during changeovers.
  • Maintain VBoard caliper within specified Company tolerances.
  • Move all finished stock from machines to the designated areas.
  • Make up packaging materials for machines and ensure quality construction.
  • Apply strapping, corner posts, stretch wrap, and labels in a consistent location before moving products to the shipping area.
  • Operate forklift, stretch wrapper, hoist, screw gun and bander as needed.
  • Use specified Company #’s, Customer #’s, and packing material as required.
  • Assist operator as needed.
  • All other reasonable duties as required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must have punctual and regular attendance.
  • Assist in all phases of machine and department operation as needed for breaks, changes, or special projects.
  • Keep up to date with any ongoing machine improvements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Foster an attitude of lean thinking, sustain improvements and follow lean initiatives.

  • Ensure all safety guidelines are followed. Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries to supervision immediately.
  • Ensure good communication between shifts.

Overtime is also required which can include 12 hour shifts, many Saturdays and some Sundays. On the job training is provided, no prior experience is necessary.

 

Compensation

 Starting wage is $17.22/hour and after a 45-day probationary period, pay will increase to $21.97/hour. POSITION SUMMARY

Perform preventative maintenance procedures and related maintenance duties on a wide variety of equipment and infrastructure. Included are Corrugating machines and Corrugate Converting machines, process support equipment, interior and exterior of buildings and grounds. Conduct preventative maintenance procedures on both electrical and mechanical systems. Poses the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures. Maintain overall condition of company assets following the standards set forth and regulated by the company policy

  1. Participates in continuous improvement and effectively communicates opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
  2. General Industrial maintenance to include, but not limited to lubricating, repairing, rebuilding, trouble shooting, and cleaning production machines. Other duties to consist of infrastructure maintenance and fabrication. This includes welding, cutting, grinding, carpenter work, and operating shop machines (lathes, mill, drill press, grinder, saw, and other small hand tools).
  3. Perform maintenance and repair to the lift trucks; roll grabs and dollies, steam generators, air compressors, and other process support equipment.
  4. Perform electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, HVAC, and concrete work.
  5. Accurately carry out and assist in the development of preventative maintenance procedures.
  6. Create and complete work orders using the CMMS.
  7. Communicate with machine operators.
  8. Utilize the CMMS and other resources to provide maintenance planning.
  9. Support and develop downtime reduction initiatives.
  10. Work overtime as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

The Maintenance Mechanic must hold a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. It is a requirement to possess, or obtain, an Associate’s Degree, Millwright or Journeyman card in a related field to remain in the department. Once hired, the Maintenance employee will have six years to obtain an Associate’s Degree, Millwright or Journeyman card if they do not possess one before being hired. Mechanic must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret documents such as mechanical and electrical drawings, maintenance procedures and manuals, company policies and safety rules. Mechanic must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills using various units of measure is required; this includes whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, velocity, ratio, and percent, perform conversions, interpret and/or develop graphs and technical reports is also required. The mechanic must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possession of the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations and take appropriate action to resolve these problems is a must.
