POSITION SUMMARY

Assists Sales, New Business Development and Production at Laminations and Rollguard by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.  OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

  1. Fulfill all sample requests for both Laminations and Rollguard such as product, collateral, shipping, giveaways, etc.
  2. Order entry for necessary production of samples and sampling stock.
  3. Produce and replenish demo samples and sampling stock.
  4. Sampling report generation with Microsoft and internal order entry platforms.
  5. 5S work area or maintain clean work area.
  6. Complete sample testing as needed.
  7. Work with NBD department to support and implement projects and marketing material as needed.
  8. Documenting training modules.
  9. Create internal marketing graphics/signage.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.  Remain current on changes in policies, procedures, and product information. Follow all operational procedures and work instructions.

Accounting Intern (Part-Time) – Laminations

 POSITION SUMMARY

Part-time position to help out in the Accounting performing various administrative and accounting tasks.  Able to demonstrate effective customer-service-oriented performance by courteously, efficiently, and professionally performing the following duties:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING.  OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

  1. Assists accounting with coding invoices with the proper general ledger account number and data entry of Laminations accounts payable invoices into the accounts payable system.
  2. Prepare and process customer invoices.
  3. Reviews and compares account payable invoice costs to price lists to monitor the accuracy of invoice.
  4. Assists accounting with matching accounts payable invoices with weekly checks.
  5. Assists other accounting team members by researching and preparing cash receipts batches. Alerts accountant of discrepancies between payment and invoices amount.  Working with the accounting team members, investigates short pay invoices for reconciliation.
  6. Assists with filing of accounting documentation.
  7. Other projects as needed.

The Accounting Intern should have (or be near completion of) an Associate’s degree (A.A.) in accounting or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience would be preferred.  Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; legible handwriting to record information and fill out forms; telephone etiquette skills.   Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers, clients and other employees. POSITION SUMMARY

Initial first point of contact on inquiries and samples requests for Rollguard product.  Gathers information from website inquiries, phone calls or potential customers for Inside Sales to help generate new business.  Assist Inside Sales in developing sales strategies designed to demonstrate features and benefits of the Rollguard products.

  • Answers telephone inquiries with a pleasant telephone
  • Obtains freight quotes from freight carriers when required to give customer the best rate available.
  • Updates/Maintains BCM system.

  • Develop and maintain a Focus 15 customer target list in conjunction with General Manager and Account Managers.

POSITION SUMMARY

Accumulate, count & pack goods produced on the VBoard (paper laminated together in stick form and used as protective packaging for products during shipping) machine. Inspect all goods as they come off the line for proper lamination, pieces sticking together, correct length and general appearance of printing. Prepare all rolls to be brought into the machine with minimum amount of waste. Plugging or de-coring rolls as needed. Cut or slab down rolls in an efficient manner to minimize waste. Help to produce the finest quality product at rates and standards consistent with the Company’s desire to be a Preferred Supplier of cost effective, top quality products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.

  • Communicate any quality problems to the Crew Leader in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain an accurate count of all pieces packed on pallets. Communicate any count deviation from the standard VBoard packaging schedule to the VB Operator.
  • Place the correct shipping label onto pallet.
  • Be conscious of the general appearance of pallets being packed.
  • Separate all waste and dispose of properly.
  • Adjust output slides.
  • Follow all Safe Roll Handling procedures; tend up to 16 paper rolls at one time.
  • Make roll splices in an efficient manner as required.
  • Be in constant communication with Crew Leader.
  • Cut & store wooden cores and wedges as needed. Keep extra plugs and accessories in order in the assigned area.
  • Minimize down time during changeovers.
  • Maintain VBoard caliper within specified Company tolerances.
  • Move all finished stock from machines to the designated areas.
  • Make up packaging materials for machines and ensure quality construction.
  • Apply strapping, corner posts, stretch wrap, and labels in a consistent location before moving products to the shipping area.
  • Operate forklift, stretch wrapper, hoist, screw gun and bander as needed.
  • Use specified Company #’s, Customer #’s, and packing material as required.
  • Assist operator as needed.
  • All other reasonable duties as required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must have punctual and regular attendance.
  • Assist in all phases of machine and department operation as needed for breaks, changes, or special projects.
  • Keep up to date with any ongoing machine improvements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Foster an attitude of lean thinking, sustain improvements and follow lean initiatives.

Overtime is also required which can include 12 hour shifts, many Saturdays and some Sundays. On the job training is provided, no prior experience is necessary.

 

Compensation

 Starting wage is $17.22/hour and after a 45-day probationary period, pay will increase to $21.97/hour. POSITION SUMMARY

Perform preventative maintenance procedures and related maintenance duties on a wide variety of equipment and infrastructure. Included are Corrugating machines and Corrugate Converting machines, process support equipment, interior and exterior of buildings and grounds. Conduct preventative maintenance procedures on both electrical and mechanical systems. Poses the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures. Maintain overall condition of company assets following the standards set forth and regulated by the company policy

  1. Participates in continuous improvement and effectively communicates opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
  2. General Industrial maintenance to include, but not limited to lubricating, repairing, rebuilding, trouble shooting, and cleaning production machines. Other duties to consist of infrastructure maintenance and fabrication. This includes welding, cutting, grinding, carpenter work, and operating shop machines (lathes, mill, drill press, grinder, saw, and other small hand tools).
  3. Perform maintenance and repair to the lift trucks; roll grabs and dollies, steam generators, air compressors, and other process support equipment.
  4. Perform electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, HVAC, and concrete work.
  5. Accurately carry out and assist in the development of preventative maintenance procedures.
  6. Create and complete work orders using the CMMS.
  7. Communicate with machine operators.
  8. Utilize the CMMS and other resources to provide maintenance planning.
  9. Support and develop downtime reduction initiatives.
  10. Work overtime as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

The Maintenance Mechanic must hold a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. It is a requirement to possess, or obtain, an Associate’s Degree, Millwright or Journeyman card in a related field to remain in the department. Once hired, the Maintenance employee will have six years to obtain an Associate’s Degree, Millwright or Journeyman card if they do not possess one before being hired. Mechanic must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret documents such as mechanical and electrical drawings, maintenance procedures and manuals, company policies and safety rules. Mechanic must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills using various units of measure is required; this includes whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, velocity, ratio, and percent, perform conversions, interpret and/or develop graphs and technical reports is also required. The mechanic must be able to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possession of the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations and take appropriate action to resolve these problems is a must.
