It is the policy of Great Northern Corporation (the “Company”) not to discriminate against any qualified employees and applicants for employment because of age, race, religion, creed, color, handicap, sex, national origin, marital status, physical condition, developmental disability (as defined in Section 51.05(5) of the Wisconsin Statutes) or sexual orientation (as defined in Wis. The Company’s Director of Human Resources, Brian J. Diermeier, has been appointed EEO/Affirmative Action Officer.  He is responsible for planning and implementing our Affirmative action program as well as for its day-to-day monitoring of Affirmative action related decisions and activities.  All personnel who are responsible for hiring and promoting employees and for the development and implementation of programs or activities are charged to support this program. He shall provide leadership in implementing Affirmative action goals and initiatives.

Portions of the Company’s Affirmative Action Plan are available for review by employees and applicants for employment upon request during regular business hours. During the life of its contract with the State of Wisconsin, the Company shall comply with Wis. Stat. § 16.765, state regulations and any applicable federal laws relating to equal employment opportunities and Affirmative action.  The Company shall continue to work cooperatively with government and community organizations to take Affirmative action to insure equal employment and advancement opportunities.

This policy will be reviewed by the Great Northern Corporation every twelve months to measure the Company’s progress against its stated goals and objectives.
