Growing Personally and Professionally

Growing Personally and Professionally

If you gave Sara Grana one word to sum up why she works for Great Northern, it would probably be “invested.” Sara is a senior account developer for the Instore Eastern region and has been with Great Northern for almost seven years. “Great Northern has invested in the growth of my career,” said Sara. “Our leadership team continually shows me that I have potential to advance within the company by encouraging me and challenging me. They have also invested in my personal growth by supporting me in continuing my education specific to my field of work.” Sara earned her Certificate of Supervisory Management from UW-Eau Claire in 2020 and is preparing to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam.

“What I love most about my job is seeing a project go from initial concepts to the final product assembled in stores,” said Sara.  “It’s humbling to think about how many people contributed their time and talent and who always go above and beyond for our customers.” Sara is very involved in her community whether it be the Chippewa Falls Boys and Girls Club, Chippewa Valley After Hours Rotary Club or the United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley Leadership Circle Advisory Board. “I am passionate about taking care of our community and by being part of the GNC-Cares committee, I get to help our group identify community giving efforts and volunteer opportunities.”

“Our company culture makes us feel like we are valuable human beings, not just a number.  We are empowered to make decisions, valued for our experience and intelligence, and team members treat each other with courtesy and respect.”

Great Expectations

Great Expectations is more than a tagline, it is an attitude. At Great Northern, customer challenges are met by an undying spirit to doing what others can’t or won’t. It’s in our DNA. And it is what our customers have come to expect with Great Northern.

How can we exceed your expectations?
