Great Northern Managers Honored with Patriotic Employer Awards

Several Great Northern Corporation managers were honored by the Department of Defense for patriotic support of employees serving in the Wisconsin Guard and Reserve in July and August 2019.

Mark Matuszak and Mike Moran were honored with Patriot Awards in recognition of their extraordinary support of their employee, Daniel Weir, who is deployed with the 2-127^th Bravo Co INF of Wisconsin. Daniel further explained,  “I nominated Mark and Mike for being very supportive of my military service without question and their full support of my service.”

A third Patriotic Employer award was given to Rebecca DeVoe, who was nominated by Orrie Kyzer, of the A BTRY 1-121^st FA Wisconsin Army National Guard. In Orrie’s nomination request, he wrote, “I had only put in two weeks at this company before I left for deployment and Becky and my co-workers never complained or expressed frustration with my absence, but kept in constant contact with me through letters, emails, and care packages. They offered much encouragement and expressed pride in my service and their ability to serve me, my wife and son in return as appreciation was truly wonderful. They stand out as a company committed to the community and nation through their patriotism and dedication to their employees.”
