In February, the Great Northern Cares team in Twin Cities had a great time making blankets to wrap layette bundles for Wrapped in Love.
Started by a group of women who love to sew, the non-profit donates the bundles to Unity Hospital in Fridley, MN, to aid low-income parents who have just welcomed a new baby. Each bundle contains newborn necessities to help financially-struggling parents get started, and is wrapped in a hand-made blanket.
Great Northern employees cut and assembled fleece tie blankets used to wrap the layette bundles. The team also donated newborn items and $500 for additional supplies.
